SWEET CIDER
What started as a 2019 winter project culminated with the receipt of a state license that allows the orchard to produce and sell sweet cider (non pasteurized) at the Diamond Lake Orchard. The process starts with the selection and washing of juice apples grow in our own orchard.

CIDER EQUIPMENT
This is just some of the equipment that was added last year in order to process cider. Shown is a grinder on the left that takes the fruit and chops it up so that it can be feed into the press shown on the right. In the press the apple grindings are squeezed using water pressure to create the cider.
State of Michigan GMP (Good Management Processes) were used to create a special cider room where the cider is processed and bottled.
